Hotel Haffner Sopot, Gdańsk, Gdynia

In the 2nd Edition of the Family-Friendly Hotel Competition the Haffner Hotel won the title of the "Best City Hotel for the Family". In this year's edition of the competition, organized under a slogan "The Child as a VIP in a Hotel" specific attention was paid to:

• maintaining safety standards with regard to hotel equipment,
• promoting a healthy menu for kids,
• safety-related and educational aspects of kids' play corners.

The second edition (2009/2010) focused around the needs of children, so that a child could feel to be a unique hotel guest and not an add-on to a hotel package.

The award jury is composed of people from various backgrounds, specialists in various areas, people who are well-known and well-liked who are interested in participating in a nationwide initiative aimed at education and promotion of family- and kids-friendly holiday destinations. Moreover, the jury members select hotels in a prestigious competition where the hotels are awarded the title of the best facility in a specific category.
